Leo is a realtor who does VERY well in that field. His income for the past 12 months was $250,000 (we call that an 'executive-level income', and coincidently, this is our goal for the next 12 months). He has the money, but he has neither the time nor the lifestyle. He’s 42, married, with two teenagers. But because he has so many listings (38 currently) he’s always working. He never spends any quality time with his wife or his kids, or enjoys his 5,400 square foot house. Or his awesome Mercedes (in 10 months, he’s driven 6,500 miles, almost all of them between home, office, and houses he’s showing). He has no time to go anywhere else! And this is a guy who in his late twenties would play 36 holes of golf every weekend—except when he was skiing, or fishing, or whitewater rafting, or sailing a boat somewhere exotic.

One more example of “great money, no life” is our friend Pat who is doing very well with her MLM (network marketing) business. She’s making about the same money as Leo. And she spends about the same amount of time working. Between 1-on-1 presentations for herself, 2-on-1 presentations for her downline, weekly hotel meetings, monthly training sessions, and quarterly events, she has no life. But she makes good money. So what?

We make good money too. But unlike Leo and Pat, thanks to this successful home business we now have time to enjoy life, WHEN we want. Like taking a Wednesday afternoon off to go biking around Ottawa (photo on the left) just because the weather is ideal, just because we can.
