OUR STORY—what a Richer Life means to us
Laurel has owned her own business for over 25 years, and Daniel for 26. Laurel is 51 and Daniel is 57. We met at a meeting of the Canadian Association of Professional Speakers (we were both members; Laurel in Ottawa, Daniel in Montreal) on March 8, 2003. We got married on September 26, 2003! (We are people of action!)
Fast forward to a few months ago. Our income was coming from speaking, training, coaching, writing (books & eBooks), and Internet marketing. We were doing OK for money, but not for time—we EACH worked between 55 and 65 hours a week. [We live in a beautiful, spacious townhouse in a very green area of Ottawa - the capital of Canada - near the Ottawa River and Britannia Beach. On the left is a picture of Daniel in his office, wearing dockers & t-shirt, pen and coffee in hand, with 'ALL' the things he needs to run this most lucrative business from home: a laptop, a printer, a telephone, a few binders, and some basic office supplies. That's it!]
Bottom line is we were doing OK, but we were VERY busy. We really didn't need another business. Except we saw this business as a way to get a Richer Life. Now that we’re running this successful home business, we're working at it a total of about 20-30 hours a week (between the two of us), and it generates the majority of our income.
What does that mean for us? A Richer Life… aka TIME FREEDOM!
And freedom of movement since all we need to conduct business is our laptops, a cell-phone, and access to the internet. We’re now able to do business from ANYWHERE, ANYTIME we feel like it. And take time off when we want. We also plan to go anywhere we feel like it, whenever we feel like it! That for us is a Richer Life. The schedule we have marked on our 12-month calendar (starting on January 1, 2008) includes 3 weeks in Europe in April (to attend the M3 Conference), at least 2 months off (July & August) to tour the Atlantic provinces, a two- week trip to Vancouver BC, and a three-week cruise in South America. That's a total of 16 weeks off this year!!! What about you? First of all, if you're looking for a MLM business or a 'pyramid' scheme, you've come to the wrong place. We are a direct-sales organization that creates financial leverage using a proven system.
